Prior to the arrival of the Children's Day, PTC organized 40 students from the TOSHIBA Hope School in Shangzhuang Township to celebrate the Children's Day with the theme of Celebrating the Children's Day, welcoming the Olympics, visiting the factory and establishing Ideal.

The activity formally began on May 31, 2008 after short speeches delivered respectively by deputy general manager Tang Yunshan and Mr. Iida Ryuunan. The students first visited workshops and the beautiful factory, then watched cartoons publicizing the Olympics and held competitions of knowledge about the Olympics and etiquette in the multi-medium training hall. Finally, the students went to the bank of the beautiful reservoir to appreciate the scenery, play games and collected wastes on the lawn. The students protected the environment with their own actions and improved their sense of environmental protection through this activity.   

The activity that lasted form 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. not only made the children have a happy holiday, but also expanded their vision, improved their knowledge, fostered their patriotism, strengthened their aspiration for the Beijing Olympics and simulated their desire and passion for study and knowledge. The students said that this years Children's Day was the most meaningful one and hoped that they would have opportunityies to come to PTC again in the future.
